Hello there, I'm a copywriter based in Croatia. I have a translator's background, majoring in English and German. My mother tongue is Hungarian. As a translator, I have come across many types of texts, and analyzing them and translating them into English or German made me realize that copywriting is another branch that I can be good at, which I am, mainly because: I know how to convey the message the writer of the text wants to convey, but in another language. I know how to adapt and localize the text to fit the target audience. I know how to craft a copy (web pages, brochures...) to persuade clients to buy, incorporating stories, writing in a TOV that befits the particular field of business. Having affinities toward writing poetry is also something that adds extra interest and an element of "oddity"to my copy, should such a copy need to be written. So, I started out as a translator, but am a copywriter, who has a dab hand in writing appealing copy in more than 1 language. IN 2023- I'm now a website copywriter, adding SEO to my forte. On-page SEO. I write copy in English and CRoatian, and translate from German and HUngarian.

“Good enough” copy isn’t good enough for your brand. Let’s ace your messaging and see the difference it makes. Anyone can make noise online but trust needs to be built for people to buy your products and services. Copywriting is a major force in building that trust. Once you have your brand voice established and your website, landing pages, and emails match customers’ states of awareness, life becomes so much easier. I can help you attract more customers and convert them with research-backed, personality-oozing copy. Since 2016, I've been teaming up with global giants, marketing agencies, and solopreneurs to write research-backed, personality-oozing copy. Before that, I was working as a web developer at a top marketing agency in central London – giving me over 10 years’ experience in the creative online space. I can help you with: – Conversion copywriting – Website copywriting – Product launch copywriting – Brand copywriting – Email marketing – Content writing – Tone of voice Testimonials: “We were recommended to Will via LinkedIn about a year ago. He came to our team at adidas with great expertise and a diverse background in clients. So for us, adding him to our team was a no-brainer, especially after having a conversation with him. Will demonstrated quite quickly his experience over the years as a freelancer. He is results-driven, practical in approach, and very organised. He has a great capacity to dive into complex topics with ease and deliver complete tasks on time and above expectations. Besides his professional skills on a personal level, Will is a joy to have on our team. He is kind in communication, positive in perspective, and helpful to the whole team. A real collaborator that can easily adapt to any team.” – Tatianne Smit-Lugo Program Manager for Digital Guidance, adidas “Get yourself some All Out Copy! Will Lyth was a joy to work with, from the early challenges we pitched him, through to the gnarly final touches of copy, he wrote copy that worked for our audience, communicated our story well, and fit our needs perfectly.” – Janna Bastow CEO & Co-Founder, ProdPad “Right from the word go, Will was professionally sound in delivering the copywriting required for my project. He took the time to explain his process, which made me feel comfortable the quality of work would be high and catered towards my target audience. I look forward to working with Will in the future!” – Tom Ray Co-Founder, MeasureMatch

I do the words. Usually about science. I’ll take your complex ideas and turn them into words people care about. Words they understand. No jargon. No business bullshit. No cross-vertical innovative solutions and backward synergy overflow. Just words that mean something. Words people remember. You want to be memorable, right? Stand out? Of course you do. Well, I can do that for you. Copy, content, random words or even the occasional scribble – whatever you need. But wait, there’s more! More I tells ya! I can help you think about strategy, how to squeeze the most from your content, how to change the dusty stuff you’ve always done because that’s how you’ve always done it. I’ll give you consulting clout to go along with the words. Copy cred And look, I’ve got credentials: I've been writing since 2011 and sciencing since 2000. I’ve come up with words for for big Pharma, charities and everything in between. I’ve writen for doctors, scientists and patients. I’ve explained stem cells, antibodies and disease, as well as pollution, plastics and proper protocols for the lab. If it’s life-sciencey, I’ve probably written something about it. Things I’ll do I can do ads in fancy journals, donation appeals, serious technical guides, friendly public explainers, tone of voice stuff, hilarious and brilliant blogs, email campaigns that convert, microcopy that matters, social media, internal comms and branding. I like all those things and I’m pretty decent at them to say the least. Things I won’t do Whatever “that” was Meat Loaf wouldn’t do. Oh, and long, boring whitepapers about your paradigm-shifting whatever, the “We’re excited to announce” posts and the content churn just for the sake of it – I don’t do that. I’m here to make you stand out, not sink into the murky marketing depths of crappy copy. Still here, eh? Erm, well, I don’t have any awards or anything to reel off, but I was a finalist in The Majors 2019 Awards for Major Copywriter. Yup, Finalist. That’s almost a winner. So, there’s that.

Hi! I’m Jo, an experienced copy and content writer specialising in creating web copy, blogs, social media posts and emails for mums in business. I don't want to show my age, but I launched my writing career in the same year Steve Jobs launched the first iPhone! During that time, I’ve written and edited all sorts of content - from interviews with key stakeholders in the health and safety industry, to product descriptions for an adult toy website, and everything in between. As a parent, I know that some jobs always fall down the list of priorities because the kids come first. If refreshing your social media content or writing a regular blog have fallen down your to-do list - I can help. My freelance writing business, the Grammar Mamma, is all about helping fellow mums in business with their content writing needs. I've also worked with some big-name brands in the parenting sector - creating product descriptions, social media content and blog posts. When I'm not writing or reasoning with a toddler about why she can't wear wellies to bed, I enjoy eating out and I play cribbage in a local league. You can check out examples of my work in my online portfolio: https://www.clippings.me/thegrammarmamma

“I am at my best in the morning, so I try to schedule all creative tasks before lunch. If I’m struggling in the morning, I use the classic strategies of changing where I’m working from, taking a break, or exercising in the hope of a Eureka moment.”

Declan Morton, Copywriter.Declan Morton

“I’ve always enjoyed writing but I didn’t set up on my own account until 2019. At that point I had been teaching for nearly two decades and had become frustrated with the academy trust to which my then school belonged. I took a plunge and set up as a freelance writer.”

Jo Watson

“I wish we were all more honest when speaking to newer or younger copywriters and telling them what to expect in their career. It’s a hard job, it’s constantly evolving, and it’s still nowhere near as widely respected (as both an art and a science) as it should be.”

Abby King

“Let your work breathe. While it’s tempting to send over to the client once a piece is ready, I try to give it at least 24 hours (where time allows!) before I go back in, review and send.”
